«The classes are top of the line, I was fascinated by them. It is very cool that you have access to them as many times as you want and you can go at your own pace, to internalize the knowledge and then come to the (live) classes to finish consolidating».

-Gabriel Latorre:- Regarding teacher training and training proposals regarding the use of ICTs and pedagogical models, what aspects did you observe that have had the greatest impact on classroom practice?
In the survey we asked high school students if teachers used ICTs. In that sense, the students gave a much more reliable answer than the teachers themselves. According to the students’ evaluation, the ones who use it the least are science, exact and natural science teachers (physics, biology, chemistry).
-GL:- Given that particularly in the area of natural sciences there is a whole series of specific software, such as, for example, the case of simulators, to be able to use them from geometry to astronomy.
– JCT:- Of course, that is why our high school graduates are, exaggerating a bit, scientific illiterates. Science is not part of the youth culture, and that ends up causing us to have problems for them to choose scientific-technical careers at the university, so that they can orient themselves in a direction that is very important for the country from the economic and social point of view. There are some changes in this situation, but I insist, there we have a very serious problem.
